Music Appreciation

The group meets at St John's Church, 20 Gills Hill Lane, Radlett WD7 8DF.

Our sessions are held on the third Monday in the month, from 2:30 pm until 4.30 pm.
Admission is £4 per person, which includes tea/coffee and biscuits. There is no
meeting in August. 

The group meetings generally feature one of our own members speaking about a
subject of interest to them, with illustrations both in sound and on-screen.

Subjects cover a very wide range of musical interest, from lesser-known composers to
popular favourites and from serious classical music to jazz and popular songs. Topics
covered recently included the life and music of Sir Arthur Sullivan, the Lloyd
Webber family, the songs of Tom Lehrer, and the conductor Andre Previn.
