Radlett & District u3a

Payments

Radlett and District u3a offers its members various methods of paying for events, outings, other activities, subscriptions etc. This page explains how members can choose the option that suits them best and ensure that the funds reach us promptly and are allocated to the correct person and for the right purpose.

PLEASE NOTE THAT HOWEVER YOU ARE PAYING YOU MUST ALWAYS PROVIDE YOUR NAME(S) AND MEMBERSHIP NUMBER(S).

This may be on the back of a cheque, as the reference on a BACS transfer or after your name on a credit or debit card payment.

If you are paying your membership subscription you can:-

a) Pay by cheque payable to Radlett and District u3a and send it to the Radlett and District u3a Membership Secretary. OR

b) Use the internet banking system and pay by BACS. The bank details for our main account will be shown on your subscription renewal request documents.

If you are paying for an activity organised by our Event and Outings Group, you can:-

a) Pay by cheque payable to Radlett and District u3a and send it to the Event organiser. OR

b) Pay for one event at a time with a credit or debit card here --> CardsEvents then follow the instructions. OR

c) Although we are generally NOT able to accept payments by BACS transfer for Events

or Outings, in exceptional circumstance, an Event organiser may recommend that you

do so. In this situation you will be given the bank account details for the Radlett and District u3a Events.

If you are paying for a Study Group activity other than those arranged by the Events and Outings Group you must follow the instructions of the Study Group Leader, who may require ‘cash on the door’.

a) Activities that require payment in advance can be paid by cheque payable to Radlett and District u3a and posted to the Group leader. OR

b) Pay for one activity at a time with a credit or debit card here --> CardsGroups then follow the instructions. OR

c) Although we are generally NOT able to accept payments by BACS transfer for Study Group activities, in exceptional circumstances, a Group leader may recommend that you do so. In this situation you will be given the bank account details for the Radlett and District u3a Groups account.

The use of cards will not be possible when immediate payment is required such as at Group meetings.
