As all my members know any money I make over and above my costs I donate to the hospice and over the past years I have donated between £3,000 and £4,000.
As the line dancing group has been going for several years our members are no longer beginners and can definitely be classed as improvers.
At the moment both my classes are up to capacity but if anyone is interested, preferably with some basic dance knowledge, I will be happy to put them on my waiting list.
We are at Vision Hall, Radlett from 12.15pm - 1.15pm every Tuesday.
We are a lively welcoming class and everybody seems to enjoy their weekly get togethers. I teach some of the basic steps and then incorporate them into very simple dances. Many line dances are made up of Ballroom / Latin steps but are done in a line so no partner is needed.
Line dancing is also very good for you, physically and mentally. It can help keep joints supple and build up strength in your leg muscles; it's good for the heart and lungs and memorising the simple step patterns exercises your brain; but most of all it is GOOD FUN.
Line dancing is supported by a number of medical charities including British Heart Foundation and National Osteoporosis Society
Cost: £2.50.
This is a joint Interest Group with Bushey U3A.
