DRAPERS’ HALL, THROGMORTON AVE, LONDON EC2N 2DQ
** NO COACH **
Located in the heart of the City of London, Drapers’ Hall provides a majestic setting for our private tour. Once part of the Augustinian Priory, the original mansion was sold to the Guild of Drapers by Henry VIII in 1543. It had been the home of Thomas Cromwell but was forfeited to the King on his execution in 1540.
In 1666, the building was destroyed in the Great Fire of London and rebuilt to designs by Edward Jarman. Following another fire in 1772, it was rebuilt again by John Gorham. Further extensive exterior and interior alterations were made during the 19th century.
